PerPrev-CID Highlights Patient Engagement at the EULAR PARE Conference
From 20–22 November 2025, the PARE Community came together in Brussels for the annual EULAR PARE Conference, focusing on advocacy, research, and elevating the patient voice in rheumatology. As part of the programme, PerPrev-CID presented a poster developed by partner Radboud University, with representatives from the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) and the Patient Advisory Panel introducing the project’s approach to engaging people living with IBD and RA, as well as at-risk relatives. The poster, titled “Personalised Disease Prediction and Prevention in Chronic Inflammatory Disorders – Engagement and Co-Creation with Patients and At-Risk Relatives”, highlighted how patient perspectives inform project decisions, shape research activities, and help ensure that prevention strategies reflect real-life needs.
Collaboration with people affected by chronic inflammatory diseases is central to PerPrev-CID’s mission. To strengthen engagement and co-creation across Europe, the project will organise open science webinars, roundtable discussions, interactive workshops, and other participatory activities, with the Patient Advisory Panel providing ongoing insight and feedback.
